Quantity

A hand-forged Pine Katana from the Huanuo Forge, of 1095 High Carbon Steel, differential hardened using the traditional clay method and full hand polishing , resulting in a unique Ko-Notare hamon.

The Pine Katana has a beautiful theme. The Japanese pine tree is green all year round and this refers to the fact that you can always rely on this beautiful samurai sword as well.

The steel is completely hand-forged, this ensures that the carbon, which provides hardness, can spread throughout the blade. Obviously a differentially hardened blade with clay. The resulting visible hand-forged hamon gives an extra aesthetic value to the blade.

This sharp katana has a very hard ha or cut and a relatively slightly softer back side that allows the blade to absorb hard blows.

These ancient Japanese techniques bring out the most optimal properties in the steel.

Without Bo-Hi (longitudinal groove) so the blade is more solid and has less resistance when hitting an object. The blade is Shinogu Zukuri style with a Torii-Zori (curve) and a geometric Chu-Kissaki.

The Pine Tsuba of this samurai sword is blackened brass, and the bjj matching Kashira and Fuchi are also made of blackened brass.

The wrap or tsuka-ito is of high quality silk, over black genuine rayskin (Same), and finishes off the whole beautifully.

The excellent kuroro finished black glossy saya (scabbard) has a beautiful Japanese cotton Sageo.

This entire process is greatly appreciated by the collector but of course the real goal is to produce a functional katana.
