The Tamahagane blade is forged, folded and differential hardened. The Bamboo Tamahagane Katana is produced in small amounts with eye for detail. Huanuo Forge made this Tamahagane material in a Chinese Tatara, a clay furnace with chargoal and controlled with bellows. The Smith will break and combines high and low carbon pieces during forging, this will result in a blade with a low carbon core and high carbon skin. Due to this process you will have a really shock absorbing sword with an excellent edge. Of course all the blade are traditional clay tempered and the created Hamon is appearing due to the hand polishing with imported Japanese stones. The blade geometric is refined and each blade is traditional final polished with a 60 hours taking process. The very nice geometric Kissaki is really overwhelming.
The blade has no Bo-Hi and this causes a massive nagasa and this will create more power while hitting a target. Also the blade will experience less resistance while hitting some tatami and the cuts will look cleaner using a correct technique.
The Tsuka is covered with white same (rayskin) and wrapped with Japanese Silk. The Tsuka is covered with two Mekugi (Bamboo Pins).
The Kabuto Menuki (not blackened), Kashira and Fuchi are made from blackenend silver/nickel.
The Bamboo Tsuba is made from blackened silver/nickel (massive) and features a beautifull and authentic theme.
The excellent black saya is wrapped with nice black Japanese Silk.
A swordbag is included.
