Shoshin Hana Katana

Entirely in the style of the Thaitsuki Swords tradition, this Katana is forged for Samurai sword enthusiasts at an attractive price.

This full tang and battle ready katana is specifically made for the Japanese martial arts practitioner.

Made of High Carbon steel 1095 in shinogi zukuri style.

The length of the blade is 2.42 Shaku (73.5 cm) with a tsuka (handle) of 27.95 cm.

Equipped with a bo-hi or longitudinal groove with a weight of 1059 grams. A blade that is differentially hardened with clay resulting in an edge of HRC 55 and back (HRC40). This is the age-old traditional way to provide a sword with the right properties. A blade with notare hamon with chu-kissaki.

A tightly wrapped tsuka with gray suede ito and real black rayskin (same) in ryugo shape.

The beautiful silver fittings complete this Katana completely. A silver hana menuki, habaki and seppa.

A tsuba in nanako with a mon (family crest) with a matching fuchi and kashira in blackened brass.

Matted black saya with buffalo horn koikuchi and sayairi with a gray sageo.
