Classic Japanese Katana

€399.00

A Classic Japanese Katana crafted from High Carbon Steel with traditional forging techniques and a Bonsai theme.

Quantity

This is a traditional Japanese Katana with a refined finish that makes it a beautiful work of art.

This fully hand-forged Bonsai Katana is carefully crafted for tameshigiri and suitable for practitioners of Japanese swordsmanship.

Forged with HCS 1095, a high-quality High Carbon Steel with approximately 0.95 carbon content.

The blade of this traditional katana is of exquisite quality and has undergone the proper treatments to obtain a functional sword.

Of course, it is differentially hardened according to traditional clay methods, with no chemical treatments to artificially strengthen the hamon. The hamon of this blade is particularly lively and dynamic. Thanks to this special heat treatment, the steel acquires optimal properties, including a sharp cut and a relatively tougher back.

The katana is completely hand-polished, including the Kissaki, and has a characteristic chu-kissaki.

With Bo-Hi, or groove, for a slightly lighter blade so that it can be wielded with speed and accuracy.

A beautiful shiny saya in deep black, with a rattan motif at the level of the sageo.

Naturally equipped with a full tang tsuka or handle, wrapped with authentic black rye skin and a tsuka-Ito of black silk.

Both the tsuba, fuchi and kashira of this katana are crafted with a beautiful theme where the tsuba has a bonsai design.

This samurai sword is not only pleasing to the eye, but also highly functional.
