The Shogun Katana by Fuji Forge is a functional, hand-forged samurai sword made from 1095 High Carbon Steel. Traditionally hardened, fully hand-polished and featuring a vivid hamon. Ideal for tameshigiri.

⚠ You must be 18 years or older to purchase this product.

The Shogun Katana is a traditionally crafted Japanese sword that blends meticulous handwork with the strength and cutting performance of 1095 High Carbon Steel. For practitioners who value authentic handling, real cutting ability and refined craftsmanship, this blade is a remarkable choice.

Each sword is hand-forged and clay-tempered using time-honoured methods, producing a lively natural hamon that reflects the heat treatment in its structure. The hardened edge and resilient spine create the ideal balance for smooth, controlled tameshigiri cuts.

The full hand-polish, including the geometric chu-kissaki, gives the blade an elegant finish and lets it glide effortlessly through the target. Without a Bo-Hi, the sword carries more weight and stability, reducing air resistance and enhancing cutting momentum. The red-and-black lacquered saya, paired with a tsuka wrapped in genuine ray skin and red silk Ito, offers a classic Japanese aesthetic. The darkened iron tsuba, decorated with a rising-sun motif, completes the traditional look.

This katana serves both as a fully functional training sword and as a refined collector’s piece for those who appreciate authentic smithing.

When holding the Shogun Katana, its balance and solid construction immediately stand out. The smooth steel surface, subtle flow of the hamon, and the added density from the lack of a Bo-Hi reveal a blade built for more than display—it is meant to withstand real use.

During practice, the edge passes through the target without vibration or instability, showcasing the power of traditional craftsmanship. The ray skin under the firm red silk wrap provides a secure, comfortable grip, even during extended training. Every detail— from the polished saya to the classic tsuba design — shows the dedication behind the blade.

This katana is not just visually striking; it is made to perform. The Shogun Katana embodies tradition, functionality and character — exactly what enthusiasts of genuine Japanese swords seek.
