Buy a gunto or military sword that was used by the Imperial Japanese Army between the years 1935 and 1945 and was a symbol of rank.

The guntō or military sword was a weapon and symbol of rank used by the Imperial Japanese Army between the years of 1935 and 1945. During most of that period, the swords were manufactured at the Toyokawa Naval Arsenal. However the this replica gunto should be made bij by a group of highly-skilled swordsmiths at the Yasukuni Shrine inTokyoand are known collectively as the Yasukuni swords.

The sword features a forged blade of high carbon 1095 steel, differentially hardened and midare hamon.

The scabbard is beautifull decorated with Japanese art with brass accents. The saya has a single brass hanging ring. A simple locking mechanism on the sword and scabbard keep the sword firmly kept in place until released by a button push.
